About

New Mexico has a rich filmmaking history, drawing storytellers to its vivid light, cultural diversity, and dramatic landscapes for over a century.

What was once a “Wild West” destination for only the boldest of innovators is now one of the world’s premiere film and television locations.

This international popularity has translated into meaningful local impact, with productions creating more than 15,000 jobs and contributing over $800 million to the New Mexico economy in 2016 alone.

In partnership with Shoot New Mexico, the first annual Film and Television Hall of Fame Awards is being launched to honor the individuals and organizations that have helped make the film and television industry of New Mexico what it is today.

Thomas Edison, Rudolfo Anaya, and Breaking Bad will be among the first inductees to the NM Film & TV Hall of Fame. Please join us at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center for a star-studded night celebrating New Mexico’s film history on Sunday, February 11, 2018.
